for 1890, with blued round 24 1/4in. barrel, dove-tailed nickel-bladed fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, the top left-hand flat of barrel signed 'WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS NEW HAVEN CT.' over 'KINGS IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29 1866, OCTOBER 16 1860', slab-sided blued action with central hammer, sliding dust-cover, top-tang fitted with a folding Lyman type vernier peep sight, straight-hand butt-stock, iron crescent heel-plate, blued under-lever, plain trigger, walnut fore-end with iron nose cap and full length tubular magazine, much finish remaining
